We believe that the child is
central to everything we do. Our primary goal is to
continually strive together to maximise educational opportunities
through the process of continually reviewing our teaching and
learning processes in consultation with the entire educational
community.
Within this framework our Motto ‘Together We Strive’
says it all. It
highlights both teamwork and endeavor.
Together we …: At Kempton
we are very aware of the vital role of the partnership between the
student, teacher, parent and the wider community plays in student
learning. Learning is best
achieved within cooperative, supportive relationships, all focusing
on maximising student outcomes.
Strive: Student endeavour is
promoted through;
-
Creating a caring, safe and secure
environment where the social, emotional, physical needs are
met.
-
Presenting a stimulating, engaging and
relevant curriculum.
-
Student's experience success and
acceptance.
-
Promoting student self worth and
confidence.
Underlying all we do at Kempton
are our values that promote;
• Valuing individuals • Inquiring and
Reflective thinkers • Independent learners • Self Directed and
Ethical people • Responsible Citizens • World Contributors •
An enthusiasm for learning • A balanced curriculum • A pleasant
and challenging physical environment • Interaction with the
community • A co-operative learning team •
At Kempton we are a small school and emphasise
the family aspect that our size can encourage. This means creating
a family environment where everyone demonstrates respect for one
another and takes responsibility for their own actions.
